Jayant Sinha Dares Rahul Gandhi For Live Debate On The Issue Of Ramgarh Lynching

New Delhi:Union minister JayantSinhahas challenged Congress president Rahul Gandhi to a live debate on the issue, who is in the eye of a storm for garlanding Ramgarh lynching convicts.

Sinha, who took to Twitter to express his regret over the episode, said the Congress leader should join him in the debate in a civilised manner if the latter thought that his "personal conduct was disgusting".

"I invite Sh. @RahulGandhiji to a live debate," the Minister of State for Civil Aviation tweeted and attached a note with it, terming the Ramgarh incident of June 29, 2017 as "distressing" and "terrible". "Let him (Gandhi) not hide behind his social media handles and practice shoot-and-scoot politics. Our great Republic deserves no less," he said.

IT Sleuths Seize Rs 27 lakh Cash And Documents In Raids From Hospitals Of Yogendra Yadav’s Kins

New Delhi:The Income Tax department claimed that it has seized about Rs 27 lakh cash and many documents including payment receipts during raids at multiple premises of a hospital group in Haryana's Rewari. These hospitals are related to the family of Swaraj India chiefYogendraYadav.

A senior ITD official said that the department also recovered transaction receipts of about Rs 15 crore, suspected to be unaccounted, after the raids on the offices of the hospital group. The raids have ended now.

Department officials in Chandigarh also claimed to have found alleged documents related to the purchase of a land plot by the owners of the hospital group in the past, using a purported cash amount of Rs 93 lakh. This transaction is under investigation now, they said.

Four Cases Of Gang Rape Including Two Minors Reported In MP In A Period Of Just 24 Hours

New Delhi:Madhya Pradesh has reported slew of rape incidents in the recent past. Four cases of gang rape, two of them involving minors, were reported in Raisen and Bhopal in a period of just 24 hours.In the first case, a 15-year-old girl was raped at Murpar village in Raisen district on Monday night. Two people have been arrested in this connection.

Gairatganj town inspector Sanjay Pathak said the girl was allegedly lured by the accused – Ravi Shankar Lodhi and Ganga Prasad Lodhi – to a hut in the vicinity of Murpar and raped. The girl spent the night inside the hut in an unconscious state, and returned to tell her parents about her ordeal the next morning.
