Salman Will Have So Continue Taking Permission Every Time He Travels Abroad, Rules The Court

in DNDQuick

New Delhi: Salman Khan's counsel had moved an application before the District and Sessions Judge Chandra Kumar Songara seeking exemption from taking court’s permission before visiting foreign country. But Khan will have to continue taking permission from the court every time he travels abroad. It was made clear by the judge hearing a plea against the actor's conviction in the blackbuck poaching case.

But he withdrew the application after the prosecution raised objections. The court is hearing the Bollywood star's plea against his conviction by a lower court, which had handed him a five-year jail sentence for killing two blackbucks 20 years ago in Kankani village near here. Public prosecutor Pokar Ram Bishnoi said since the arguments had already begun it would not be appropriate to grant Khan permanent relaxation from permission to travel.

Rajasthan Government Prepares A Blueprint To Prevent Lynchings By Mobs

in DNDQuick

New Delhi: After facing criticism from all across, Rajasthan’s home minister Gulabchand Kataria said that the state government prepared a blueprint to prevent cases of lynchings by mobs. It includes identifying sensitive areas, increasing the presence of the police and naming nodal officers.

The Bharatiya Janata Party in the state has faced renewed criticism after a 29-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death late in July by suspected cow vigilantes in Alwar district, where three people engaged in cattle trade were killed since April last year.

“A team of informers will be prepared to enable the police to respond quickly to the possibility of mob lynching in remote areas. The way to do this is to increase the police mobility in remote areas and for that, we will soon be issuing 700 motorcycles,” Kataria said.
