MP Government Asks Madrasas In The State To Hold A Tiranga Rally On August 15

New Delhi: The Shiv Raj Singh Chauhan government in Madhya Pradesh has asked madrasas in the state to hold a Tiranga rally on August 15 as part of the Independence Day celebrations. They have also been asked to send videos as “proof” to the Madhya Pradesh Madarsa Board.

The circular issued by the MP government’s general administration department asks the schools, on the other hand, to take out “morning processions” and does not make it mandatory on them to send photos or videos.

The circular, dated August 7, has titled the ‘Tiranga rally’ for madrasas under a theme, Paigham-e-Mohabbat (message of love), with a competition of sorts whereby the best rally, decided by the board based on the videos received, would be rewarded.

Terrorist Gets Shortlisted For The Post Of Sub-Inspector Four-Days After He Was Killed

New Delhi: Four days after the engineering graduate-turned-militant Khurshid Ahmad Malik was shot dead in an encounter with security forces in Baramulla district, he was shortlisted for recruitment as sub-inspector in Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday released the shortlist of 2,060 candidates and at serial number 1913 is Khurshid Ahmad Malik, a resident of Arabal village of Pulwama district. They have been called for interview for recruitment to the post of sub-inspector (executive wing).

Malik, a B Tech, had appeared for the written examination in June this year. He was killed in an encounter with the security forces at Drusoo area of Sopore in Baramulla district of north Kashmir on August 3, barely 48 hours after he joined the militant ranks.

China Starts Recalling Faulty Rabies Vaccines Exported To Several Countries Including India

New Delhi: After media reports on life saving rabies vaccines, China has started recalling faulty rabies vaccines exported to several countries, including India, following revelations that a company which made the vaccines violated immunity standards and forged documents.The government, however, has declined to share details about the recall protocol that’s been initiated.

Media reports from New Delhi revealed last week that the company at the centre of the vaccine scandal in China - Changchun Changsheng Biotechnology Corporation - had exported its products to India.

SC/ST Commission To Go To Court Against AMU Denying Reservations To Dalits

New Delhi: The Commission for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe plans to go to Supreme Court after looking into the documents provided by Aligarh Muslim University in support of its minority status. The concern of the commission has been that AMU is not providing reservation to SCs, STs and OBCs just for self-proclaimed minority status. The commission also plans to write to University Grant Commission about Rs 1,000 crore fund that it gets per annam despite not following the constitutional provisions.

Chairman of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Commission Ram Shamkar Katheria told One India that the university officials were not able to give any answer to the commission on why they are not providing reservation to Scs/STs despite getting funds from the government. They just repeated that the matter is in the Supreme Court.

Sinha And Shourie Alleged NDA Government Demanding A Time-Bound Probe Into Rafale Deal

New Delhi: Former Union ministers Yashwant Sinha and Arun Shouriealleged demanding a time-bound probe into the contract by national auditor CAG.The Rafale deal is a case of "monumental criminal misconduct" by the NDA government and the scam involving it is much bigger than the Bofors scandal.

Sinha and Shourie, addressing a press conference along with lawyer-activist Prashant Bhushan, raised a number of questions over the Rs 58,000 croredeal for procurement of 36 Rafale fighter jets from France.
