New Delhi: Amid strong opposition from the family, the Unnao police on Saturday exhumed the body of Yunus Khan the key witness in the alleged murder of Unnao rape victim’s father in April this year.

Superintendent of police, Unnao, Harish Kumar said the entire process was carried out in his presence and recorded. “Shahr Qazi, Unnao, Maulana Nasir accompanied us. We are acting in accordance with law,” he said.

New Delhi:  Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a prosecution complaint against former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav in connection with the Railway Hotel Tender Scam. The ED has also filed the complaint against Rabri Devi, Tejashwi Yadav, P C Gupra, Lara Projects LLT and others in connection with the case.

The attachment worth Rs 44.75 Crore of Delight Marketing has also been confirmed by Adjudicating Authority in the case. The case, for which Lalu Yadav and his wife and son, who was Bihar deputy chief minister, have been booked, dates back to when he was Union railway minister in the UPA government.

New Delhi: Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut questioned whether former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee died on August 16 or if his death was announced that day to ensure Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Independence Day speech was not disrupted.

Raut, a Rajya Sabha member who is also editor of the Sena mouthpiece `Saamana’, gave no explanation or reason for questioning the day of Vajpayee’s death that was announced by India’s premier hospital, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, which also gave his time of death on August 16.

New Delhi: Congress leaders said while flagging off the Sankalp Rally that the party has taken an oath that it will set the people free of the misgovernance of the “autocratic BJP government”. Rajasthan Congress leaders came together to start the party’s election campaign from Sanwaliyaji temple in Chittorgarh.

Sachin Pilot said that the presence of a large number of people at the rally shows that they have made up their mind to oust the BJP. “We take an oath that under the Congress governant, farmers will not have to commit suicide, youth will get jobs and we will ensure that women feel secure. People will feel that they are part of the governance. We have faith that people will support the Congress and give us a chance to serve,” he said while taking the sankalp (oath).
