New Delhi: Congress president Rahul Gandhi is still hopeful that Bahujan Samaj Party will join the Congress before 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He believed the BSP will tie up with his party despite opting out of an alliance for the upcoming state polls.

Speaking after delivering the keynote address on the opening day of the 16th Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, Gandhi said the alliances in states are different from those at the national level.

New Delhi: A Congress delegation has met Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India Rajiv Mehrishi for the second time in a fortnight. The Congress termed it as new facts and reiterated its demand for a forensic audit of the Rs 60,150 crore Rafale deal.

“We have brought to the CAG’s attention additional developments and revelations since the last time we met,” Congress leader Anand Sharma told reporters after the meeting.

“More details will come and each and every detail and document related to the Rafale deal must go through the CAG’s forensic audit before a report is submitted to Parliament,” he said.

New Delhi: India has rejected false allegations made by Pakistan of the reported use of chemical weapons by Indian security forces in Kashmir, saying “malicious attempts” to deflect international opinion away from terrorism emanating from the neighbouring country will not succeed.

India also asserted that Pakistan was acting in a highly “irresponsible manner” with the sole purpose of repeating untruths in the vain hope that the international community will start believing their falsehood.

New Delhi: The Congress is all set for a major 'Hindutva' push which is part of the narrative it is trying to build ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in the coming festive season. The Congress is planning to organise Kanya Pujan and Phalahari meet across big cities in Uttar Pradesh around Dussehra-Diwali period.

Apart from attacking the ruling government over Rafale deal, fuel price hike and falling rupee, Congress president Rahul Gandhi has been working towards what is being called as 'soft Hindutva'.
