On Wednesday February 9, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was in the coastal city of Visakhapatnam to participate in the annual Sri Sarada Peetham festival.

His visit left the citizens and those flying out of the city from Visakhapatnam airport fuming, as the vehicular traffic was halted for a long time for CM's passage.

Due to the restrictions imposed by Visakhapatnam city police for providing secure passage to the CM, many passengers had to run with children and luggage to catch their flights.

Sidhu remains submerged in Amritsar, Congress misses his strokeplay in Punjab polls

in DNDQuick

The Congress in Punjab is in a bit of a fix as its star campaigner Navjot Singh Sidhu is locked in a rather grim electoral battle in Amritsar East.

Sidhu, also the state party unit chief, made a limited appearance outside Amritsar city. He was seen campaigning in Amritsar Central and Amritsar West seats but nothing beyond.

Reports from his own constituency, Amritsar East, also don't present an impressive picture, as Sidhu, whatever campaign he could do, struggled to pull crowds. Rather, he has been to the Vaishno Devi shrine twice in a week.
