Actor Rakul Preet Cycles Her Way to Film Set of 'MayDay'

Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh saved her gym time and cycled way to her film set. 

Rakul posted a video on Instagram. In the clip she is seen cycling while someone is seen filming her from a car.

"Welll whAt m trying to say here is cycling on way to set time management.. 12kms," she wrote.

Rakul has started shooting for "MayDay". The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Angira Dhar, and it marks Ajay's return to direction after "Shivaay" and "U Me Aur Hum". 

The thriller is expected to release on April 29, 2022.

Actor Anil Kapoor Confesses Films He Did for Money

Not many Bollywood stars admit doing films for money. Most of them want to create the perception that they take up a project because they believe in it. So, this may come as a surprise but Bollywood star Anil Kapoor has not only revealed that he did some movies for money, but also revealed the names of those films.

The 64-year-old actor in an interview to an English daily revealed that he worked on Andaz and Heer Ranjha for the money. He explained that his family was in a crisis after the film Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja did not do well at the box-office. The movie was produced by Anil’s brother Boney Kapoor and starred the latter’s wife and superstar Sri Devi.

Anil said, “...the family was in a crisis and each one of us did what we had to do for survival, out of a sense of responsibility.” The actor said that the family has now moved forward from those difficult times but he would not think twice before doing whatever is required for the family, if they face bad times again.

Yesteryears Bollywood Veteran Zeenat Aman is making a comeback on screen in a new avatar, in the upcoming film 'Margaon: The Closed File'.

The film is a murder mystery that tributes Agatha Christie’s genre of work, and casts the 69-year-old actress as head of an Anglo Indian family who is an independent woman, a mother as well as an entrepreneur.

Talking about the same, director Kapil Kaustubh Sharma shared: Zeenatji will be seen in a strong role of a woman named Sylvia. It's a complex and unconventional character with various shades.

At Kolkata Film Festival 2021 Inauguration: Actor Shahrukh Khan Says 'Mamata di, I miss hugging you'

The 26th edition of the Kolkata International Film Festival was inaugurated today. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and several eminent actors of the Bengali film industry were present at the inaugural event. Shah Rukh Khan, who is the brand ambassador of Bengal, joined the ceremony over a video call. Since 2011, Shah Rukh Khan has been attending the film festival each year. SRK couldn't fly to Kolkata to attend the inaugural ceremony due to the ongoing pandemic but the actor said he misses hugging Mamata di. Director Anubhav Sinha, was also a guest at the 26th edition of KIFF.

Shah Rukh Khan joined the inaugural event of the 26th film festival virtually. He joined the ceremony via a video call. "Nomoskar Shak Rukh, bhalo acho toh?," were Mamata Banerjee's first words to the actor. "Haan ami bhalo achi, ekdum accha," he responded. The actor apologised for not being able to be there physically due to the pandemic. He has been attending the film festival since 2011. "Mera bohat dil kar raha hai ki main wahan par hota. But all I can say from here is that I love you all and I miss Bengal. Mamata di, I miss you and miss hugging you. Inshallah when I come next time jo bohat hi jald hoga, do-chaar extra hugs le lunga aapse," the actor said while addressing.

Sonu Sood on BMC Complaint: Will Appeal in Bombay High Court

Actor Sonu Sood on Thursday asserted that there are no irregularities in the sustainability of his Juhu residential complex. Reacting to the police complaint filed by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for converting his six-storied residential building into a hotel without due permission, Sonu said he would appeal in Bombay High Court against the move.

The building in question is one where the actor had offered to house Covid 19 patients last year.

Speaking exclusively to a news agency, Sonu said: "I have already taken an approval for the change of user from the BMC. It was subject to approval of the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA). This permission hasn't come due to Covid-19. There are no irregularities. I always abide by the law. This hotel was used to house Covid-19 warriors during the pandemic. If the permission doesn't come, I will restore it back to a residential structure. I am appealing against the complaint in the Bombay High Court."
