Govinda’s daughter, Tina Ahuja, has said that she has never taken any professional help from him. She added that she has been offered films on her own merit and cannot be denounced as a ‘nepo-kid’.

Tina made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with Smeep Kang’s Second Hand Husband, opposite Gippy Grewal. The film, which also starred Geeta Basra and Dharmendra, was a box office dud.

In an interview to a national daily, Tina said that Govinda never tried to use his influence to get her film offers. She said that if she were a product of nepotism, she ‘would have signed 30-40 films already’.

Popular South star Oviyaa has landed herself in legal trouble after posting a controversial tweet against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The former 'Bigg Boss Tamil' posted the message just a day before PM's visit to Tamil Nadu on Sunday February 14).

Oviyaa's action did not go down well with Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary D Alexis Sudhakar, who approached the Superintendent of Police, CB-CID in Chennai, and filed a petition demanding probe whether the tweet by Oviyaa was meant to incite public disorder. Sudhakar has demanded that the law enforcement agencies must take action against Oviyaa under section 69 A of IT Act r/w 124 A, 153 A, 294 of the IPC.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested actor and entrepreneur Sachiin Joshi, son of Gutkha baron Jagdish Joshi after questioning him for several hours in connection with a money-laundering probe.

The arrest was made on Sunday night. ED officials related to the probe told IANS that Joshi was arrested after seven hours of questioning.

He said that he will be produced in a local court here. The official said he was arrested in connection with a money-laundering probe involving Omkar Group.

His arrest comes after the Income Tax department sleuths completed searches at his residential and office premises.

Actors Randeep Hooda and Urvashi Rautela on Saturday (February 13) met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his official residence in Lucknow.

The stars are currently shooting the web series 'Inspector Avinash', based on a true story set in the state.
