Late actor Irrfan Khan's wife Sutapa Sikdar has opened up on the death of the actor and how she has been unable to cope with the loss. Sutapa and Irrfan met when they were both students at the National School of Drama. Irrfan died on April 29, 2020, after a long battle with neuroendocrine tumor.

In an extremely emotional interview with Film Companion, Sutapa described how Irrfan was curious about death and what happens after life. She said that after he was diagnosed with cancer, he felt that maybe he had drawn death towards him.

Dhanush's 'Jagame Thandhiram' to release digitally on June 18

Actor Dhanush's new Tamil film "Jagame Thandhiram" will have a direct OTT release worldwide on June 18. The film co-stars Aishwarya Lekshmi, Kalaiyarasan and Joju George, and marks the Indian debut of Scottish actor James Cosmo.

The film is directed by Karthik Subbaraj, and it tells the story of a nomadic gangster who has to choose between good and evil.

"'Jagame Thandhiram' is my dream film that was made with the ambition of telling a gripping story about a globally prevalent issue through a locally rooted character in a most interesting and entertaining way," said director Subbaraj.

Shilpa Shetty expresses inexplicable pain, asks fans to donate to an initiative that fights hunger

Actor Shilpa Shetty took to Instagram on Monday and requested fans to donate to an organisation that is doing work in fighting hunger. She mentioned how she was 'not okay' amid the Covid-19 second wave gloom.

In a video she shared, Shilpa said: "I usually share information to motivate you to stay fit and healthy but today even I need Monday motivation and a lot of it because I am not okay. And I can't be, none of us are. We are experiencing this inexplicable pain, from all that is happening around us, and we are all expressing it very differently."

She added: "We are not just losing people to Covid, but we are also losing people to hunger, to the lack of oxygen, to the lack of timely medical care."

Classical Vocalist Pt Rajan Mishra dies of Covid-19, PM Narendra Modi sends condolence

Renowned Hindustani classical vocalist Pt Rajan Mishra died due to COVID-19 complications at a hospital in Delhi on Sunday evening, his nephew said. He was 70. Mishra, who along with his brother Sajan Mishra was one of the foremost exponents of khayal gayaki, had a heart attack in the afternoon and then another in the evening, his nephew Amit told PTI.

“Pandit Rajan Mishra ji passed away at around 6.30 in Delhi’s St Stephen hospital. He had COVID-19 and was admitted to the hospital. He had taken the first dose of the vaccine about 15-20 days ago. He had a heart attack in the afternoon and he had another attack at around 5.30," Amit said.

‘Bandish Bandits’ actor Amit Mistry dies of cardiac arrest

Popular Gujarati and Hindi film actor Amit Mistry, known for starring in films like “Shor In The City”, “Bey Yaar” and Amazon Prime Video series “Bandish Bandits”, died on Friday following cardiac arrest, his manager said.

The 47-year-old actor was at his residence in Andheri with his mother when he breathed his last at around 9.30 AM.

“He woke up, had his breakfast and even exercised before he suffered a cardiac arrest. He was absolutely fit and fine. Amit had no underlining medical condition. It’s an absolutely shocking news,” the actor’s manager Maharshi Desai said.
