Sunil Grover played an important role in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Tandav. However, despite the critical acclaim, the show stirred a string of controversies and was largely slammed claiming that it had 'hurt religious sentiments'. 

“I have tried my best to take up only safe subjects in my career. I personally feel that nobody's sentiments or beliefs should be hurt," Sunil told Bollywood Hungama in an interview.

He added, “But now, because of social media and some other unknown reasons, how people react to certain things -- I have 20 filters in my brain -- you have no control over. There is creative expression, but how people catch the ball is completely out of your control. You can try, but you can't know how others will react”.

Actor and self-proclaimed critic Kamaal R Khan has said that despite multiple people now standing against him, he will not lose sight of his one true adversary. KRK, as he is commonly known, is involved in a legal tussle with actor Salman Khan.

In the days following Salman initiating a defamation suit against KRK, singer Mika Singh and former Bigg Boss contestant Aly Goni have also taken a stance against him.

KRK on Tuesday took to Twitter and wrote that he doesn't even recognise some of the people who are commenting against him, using the language of their 'gawar boss (uneducated boss).' He wrote in Hindi, "What sort of a useless Bollywood goon are you, that you have to take the support of a flop singer, a struggling model and useless Bigg Boss contestant. You're scared. But I now have you in my sight, I will not waver, no matter how hard you try."

Vidya Balan had a wonderful treat for fans on Monday. The actress shared the teaser of her upcoming movie Sherni, in which she plays the role of a forest officer. Vidya shared the teaser of Sherni with an intriguing caption and wrote: "A tigress always knows the way! Ready to hear the Sherni roar? Here's the official teaser." The teaser only heightens the mystery about what to expect from Sherni as it comprises just a one-liner by Vidya: "Jangal kitna bhi ghana kyun na ho, sherni apna raasta dhoond hi leti hai (no matter how dense the forest is, a tigress always finds her way)." The teaser begins with an eerie shot of Vidya navigating a forest, presumably in search of the titular Sherni. The Sherni teaser wraps on a cliff-hanging note with Vidya scanning her surroundings with a alarmed expression on her face.

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood on Sunday reacted to a news piece saying a mutton shop has been named after him.

Amid the ongoing second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, the actor has been arranging oxygen concentrators and other necessary equipment for Covid patients.

Sonu recently took to social media to announce that he would be setting up a couple of oxygen plants in Andhra Pradesh in June.

Actor Randeep Hooda has been removed as ambassador of the Convention for the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS), an environment treaty of the United Nations, in the wake of surfacing of a nine-year-old video where he was seen making a joke on Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader and former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mayawati.
