Dobaaraa box office collection Day 5: Taapsee Pannu's film crashes, hardly earns any money

Taapsee Pannu's latest Dobaaraa hit the theatres on August 19. The film received good reviews from critics and audience alike. However, the same is not reflecting in its box office collections. As per the latest figures, Dobaaraa hardly managed to earn any money in its Day 5 collections. Dobaaraa is also facing stiff competition from Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan at the box office. However, the latter two films are also not doing well.

Taapsee Pannu's Dobaaraa collected a mere Rs 72 lakh on Day 1. It's collection gradually saw an improvement in its first Sunday in the theaters. On Day 4, August 21, Dobaaraa's total box office collection stood at Rs 3.37 crore. But it saw a further drop on Day 5, August 23. Dobaaraa hardly earned Rs 0.40 crore in a single day. Hence, its total box office collection would now stand at Rs 3.87 crore, according to early reports. The Taapsee Pannu-starrer was released in just 370 screens on August 19. Though the film got a thumbs up from the critics, it failed to bring audience to the theatres. Meanwhile, Dobaaraa had an overall 7.55 per cent Hindi Occupancy on Tuesday, August 23.

Laal Singh Chaddha box office collection Day 13: Aamir Khan's film earns more than Kashmir Files internationally

Filmfare Awards withdraw Kangana Ranaut's nomination after ‘false accusations’

After Kangana Ranaut said that she will sue a leading magazine for nominating and inviting her to their awards show, the magazine revoked her nomination. Kangana was nominated for the Best Actress Awards for her film Thalaivii. In a fresh statement, the association have also called the actor’s accusations ‘false’.

In a long statement, they said, “As is customary during the awards, Filmfare’s Executive Editor informed Ms. Ranaut about her nomination in the Best Actor in a Leading Role, Female category and asked for her address to send across the invitation.”
