Vijay's action drama 'Leo' was released in theatres on the occasion of Ayudha Pooja, and the film had a tremendous start at the box office. Despite receiving mixed reviews, Lokesh Kanagaraj's directorial worked well at the box office with solid occupancy across locations. 'Leo' has ended its theatrical run after 60 days.

After surpassing the 600-crore milestone, 'Leo' experienced a significant slowdown, particularly in recent days, losing screens to new releases in the action drama genre. Nonetheless, as the biggest Tamil box office hit of 2023, the film concluded its successful run with a final collection of Rs 623 crore worldwide. Vijay's film has secured more than Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' (Rs 607 crore) thereby becoming the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2023.

Meghna Gulzar's recent directorial venture, 'Sam Bahadur', has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide. This came after 17 days of its theatrical run. Released on December 1, the Vicky Kaushal-starrer has been able to withstand the theatrical dominance of Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' and has continued its consistent run at the box office.

According to the Sacnilk box office report, 'Sam Bahadur' has raked in Rs 90.50 crore gross (approx. Rs 76.60 crore net) in India and garnered around 14.50 crore overseas. This makes the film's total tally stand at 105 crore. This will be Vicky Kaushal's third Rs 100-crore film after 'Raazi' and 'Uri'. 

The excitement is building for the release of Shah Rukh Khan's much-anticipated film, Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Following the two major blockbusters Pathaan and Jawan, SRK seems poised for a hat-trick of success with this upcoming comedy-drama. 

Dunki is set to hit theaters worldwide on 21 December, and a week ahead of its release, the film has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The censor board reviewed the film on December 15, and granted it a U/A certificate. The approved runtime for Dunki is set at 2 hours and 41 minutes (161 minutes).

Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal is on a downward spiral at the Indian box office. After earning Rs 13.85 crore, Rs 12.72 crore, Rs 10.25 crore, Rs 8.75 crore in the last four days, respectively, the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer will earn around Rs 4.3 crore on Friday, according to early estimates posted at 6 pm by trade website Sacnilk. The film has now completed two weeks in theatres. The movie's total collection in India stands at Rs 481.14 crore.
