Ajay Devgn, Akshaye Khanna, Tabu, and others' starrer, Drishyam 2's box office collection for day 2 seems to be rather impressive. The word of mouth for the movie has been great and it has directly reflected upon the jump in day 2 numbers as well. The movie made Rs 7.60 Cr at national chains on day 1, and that lead to a collection of almost Rs 15 Cr. Day 2 numbers look good with a strong jump.

The day 2 box office collection numbers for Drishyam 2 indicate a massive jump, which lead the numbers from national chains to rise from Rs 7.60 Cr to Rs 11.5 Cr. Meanwhile, reports also have it that the movie has raked in about Rs 21 Crores on day 2, making it an almost 50% jump in the figures as a whole, and all credits to the word of mouth for the movie.

If a Venn diagram was to be made, the subjects of which would be those who had watched the original Malayalam thriller as well as its eponymous Hindi remake that is Drishyam 2, I would be one of the people who sit in the centre. It’s impossible to not mention the original, starring Mohanlal and directed by Jeethu Joseph, which was released in 2021 and is up for viewing on Disney + Hotstar at the moment. More on that later, but I don't think the need should arise if you are looking to find out what happens to the ingenious Vijay Salgaonkar (played by Ajay Devgn).

Helmed by Abhishek Pathak and written by Aamil Keeyan Khan, Drishyam 2, which also happens to be the sequel of Drishyam (2015), takes off with a significant connection from where the first part ended and moves seven years ahead.

Punjabi film actress, Daljeet Kaur Khangura (69), a native of Aitiana village of Raikot subdivision, died at Sadhar Bazaar hamlet near here on Thursday morning.

Born (1953) and raised in Siliguri, a convent school student, Daljeet Kaur Khangura was good in studies, sports and art as well. After graduating from Lady Shri Ram College in Delhi, Daljeet joined Pune Film Institute and succeeded in starting her career by acting in a short film Bonga, directed by another student of her college Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

Daaj, Giddha, Saidan Jogan, Putt Jattan De, Roop Shaqinan Da, Ishaq Nimana, Mamla Garbar Hai, Laajo, Batwara, Vairee Jatt, Patola, Kee Banu Duniya Da, Sohni Mahiwal, Jagga Daku and Anakh Jattan Dee were among those over 50 Punjabi films that helped Daljeet Kaur Khangura rule the roost in the Punjabi film industry for almost two decades ( from 1976 to 1996). She is also known to have performed in some popular Hindi films.

Director Sooraj Barjatya's return to the cinemas has created magic again. His latest film Uunchai is all the rage right now. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa and Parineeti Chopra, the film has been praised by one and all. It is also doing exceptionally well at the Indian box office collection. Uunchai is also competing with Marvel's latest release Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

In spite of opening on limited screens, Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani and Danny Denzonpa's Uunchai minted Rs 1.81 crore on its opening day. Gradually, the film saw an increase in its box office collection as it minted a whopping Rs 10.50 crore in just three days. On Day 4, the film saw a drop which is expected on a Monday. Uunchai collected Rs 1.70 crore on Day 4, taking the total domestic box office collection to Rs 11.86 crore. On Day 5, November 15, it picked up pace again as it collected Rs 1.80 crore, taking the total earnings to Rs 13.84 crore. Meanwhile, Uunchai had an overall 15.64 per cent Hindi occupancy on Day 5.

Sajid Khan has again found himself tangled in controversy dating back to 2018, as the #MeToo movement gained immense recognition in India. Many actresses came out of the shadow and shared their sexual abuse experiences faced behind bars in the industry. Various prominent names from the industry landed in the brew where filmmaker Sajid Khan was a famous name.

Several female actors including Saloni Chopra, Sherlyn Chopra, Kanishka Soni, and Mandana Karimi came forward making big accusations about the director and sharing their individual experiences. However, several fresh allegations have been put against the ‘Himmatwala’ director where Sheela Priya Seth has come to the limelight and has set the accusations on air.
