The social drama has managed to set a new record for single-day box office collections by any Bengali film ever, as per its distributor. Overall too, the film is going strong and instry trackers predict it to be one of the highest-grossing Bengali films ever.

Projapoti stars Mithun alongside Dev and Mamata Shankar. The film focuses on a retired widower’s attempts to get his marriage planner son hitched. The heartwarming story has received positive reviews and grown by word of mouth since its release on December 23.

Thalapathy Vijay’s next film Varisu is up for a massive release this Pongal season. The movie is getting a simultaneous release in Telugu as Vaarasudu. Today the makers unveiled the theatrical trailer, which has already started its hunt on Youtube.

A big family is introduced, headed by Sarathkumar, and when it breaks apart and encounters troubles from the outside world, the family’s heir, Vijay, takes charge. Vijay looks super handsome, and his screen presence is lit. He dances well and is in his elements. The frames look very colorful, giving the vibes of a festival entertainer.

Shark Tank India returned to the small screens with season 2 on Monday. Five sharks including Anupam Mittal, Vineeta Singh, Peyush Bansal, Namita Thapar and Aman Gupta heard quite a few interesting pitches and decided to invest in some of them. However, a pitch about a makeup brand, Recode, was rejected mainly because it was a competitor brand for Vineeta Singh’s makeup brand, Sugar. Many viewers took to Twitter to register their disappointment over the practice.  

All the sharks were very impressed with how two small-town entrepreneurs pitched their homegrown makeup brand Recode and revealed some interesting business strategies which left the sharks stunned. All of them, except Peyush Bansal, still rejected the pitch just because it was from the same industry as Vineeta Singh. The Sugar co-founder was also left surprised when she was told Sugar follows Recode on Instagram.

The highest-grossing Pakistani film of all time, The Legend Of Maula Jatt, starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, was all set to be released in India on Dec 30. However, the censor certificate given to Pak movie has been revoked. Directed by Bilal Lashari, the movie is an adaptation of the 1979 cult classic Maula Jatt.  

Ameya Khopkar, the president of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's cinema wing, said on Twitter that the film’s release has been stalled after a warning given by the party. "... the screening of The Legend of Maula Jatt has been completely cancelled...," he said.

Mika Singh is a popular Indian singer and songwriter who has gained widespread fame for his soulful voice and energetic stage presence.
