From 'Gangs of Wasseypur' to 'Mimi', actor Pankaj Tripathi has come a long way proving to be an actor par excellence with every role.

The actor recently spoke about stereotyping in Bollywood, based on looks, and said a case-in-point was that of Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani. "If Mukesh Ambwas not a businessman and he went for an audition, he would never be cast as a rich man since he doesn't look like that," Tripathi said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his tributes to noted classical vocalist Ustad Rashid Khan, who passed away on Tuesday. Khan, 55, was undergoing treatment at a Kolkata hospital for his prolonged battle with cancer. 

Taking to X, the Prime Minister underlined that Khan's passing away "leaves a void that will be hard to fill". Referring to the late music maestro as a "legendary figure", PM Modi said, "His unparalleled talent and dedication to music enriched our cultural world and inspired generations." He also shared an image of himself with the late singer. 

Idan Amedi, an actor-singer who was part of Netflix series “Fauda”, was reportedly seriously injured while fighting as an Israel Defence Forces reservist against Hamas militants in Gaza Strip's Khan Younis on Monday. Idan Amedi was airlifted to a hospital on Monday, where he was receiving treatment, The Times of Israel reported.

The report also cited Idan Amedi’s father who confirmed the injury. The star actor’s cousin Ayelet also wrote about the injury on social media platform Instagram and appealed to the people to pray for his recovery.

Nayanthara made a huge feat with her film 'Annapoorani' as it marked her 75th film. Directed by Nilesh Krishnaa, the movie stars Nayanthara, Jai, and Sathyaraj in lead roles, and the film was released in theaters on December 1, 2023. The movie received a bland response and made a gross of Rs 5 crore at the box office.

According to reports from The Republic, a complaint has been filed at the LT Marg Police Station in Mumbai, and the movie promotes Love Jihad. The complaint also read that the film's scene has actor Jai saying that Lord Ram was a meat eater, which hurts religious sentiments.
