Vicky Kaushal-starrer 'Sam Bahadur' is scheduled to stream on ZEE5 from January 26. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film recounts the remarkable life of Sam Manekshaw, India's first Field Marshal and one of India's most revered military figures. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP production, 'Sam Bahadur' delves into the highs and lows of Manekshaw's career, chronicling his ascent to becoming the first Indian Army Officer promoted to the rank of Field Marshal.

The film also features Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub in pivotal roles.

2024 Sankranti is one of the busiest ones for Telugu fans as four films clashed at the box office. But the clash of Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Kaaram' and Teja Sajja's 'HanuMan' excited fans as both films were released on the same day (Jan 12). Earning positive reviews from critics and audiences, Teja Sajja's 'HanuMan' had a perfect start, while Mahesh Babu's star power helped 'Guntur Kaaram' at the box office. However, 'HanuMan' started to take the lead at the box office as the superhero is a perfect entertainer to enjoy in theatres.

Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, Prashanth Neel's action entertainer starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, has crossed the ₹400 crore mark at the Indian box office. Now, it's all set to premiere on OTT with its release on Netflix India, tomorrow on January 20.    

On the occasion of Pongal on Monday, January 15, Netflix India unveiled its Telugu slate for 2024, which included Salaar. The film, which released in cinemas on December 22 ahead of Christmas 2023, will now be available to stream on the platform. On Friday, the official handle of Salaar announced that the movie will drop on Netflix India tomorrow on January 20 in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil. The release date of its Hindi version is not known yet.

Telugu film HanuMan is making waves at the box-office. Starring Teja Sajja and Vinay Rai, the film minted Rs 11.50 crores on Wednesday. Directed by Prasanth Varma, the movie is on its way to crossing the Rs 100 crore milestone. According to market tracker Sacnilk, the total collection in India has reached an impressive Rs 80.46 crore and the film  had an overall 64.69% Telugu occupancy on Wednesday.

HanuMan started with a decent Rs 4.15 crores at the box office. However, thanks to positive word-of-mouth, the film experienced a major surge on the second day, raking in Rs 8 crore. The excitement kept going, with Rs 12 crores on Saturday and a whopping Rs 16 crores on Sunday. Even on Monday, the movie stayed strong, bringing in another Rs 15 crores. 

Acclaimed filmmaker Vetrimaaran has opened up about the controversy surrounding Nayanthara's latest release Annapoorani. The film, which was released on Netflix after its theatrical run, was taken down by the OTT platform after it faced backlash from a few Hindu outfits. The OTT platform had said that the film was removed at 'licensor's request'. Now, the Tamil director said that the decision would undermine the authority of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
