BJP national vice-president and ex-Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das on Monday hurled corruption charges at his successor Hemant Soren, accusing him of misusing power and authority to benefit his family members and aides.
Das claimed nearly 11 acres of tribal community land had been allotted to Sohrai Live, a company owned by the CM and JMM president's wife Kalpana. The land, located within the industrial area of Bijupara in rural Ranchi, has been given to the firm to set up a meat-processing plant.
He alleged over 11 acres were also allotted to Shivshakti Enterprises, owned by the CM's press adviser Abhishek Prasad alias Pintu, for stone mining in Sahibganj. Another six acres have been given to Mahakal Stone Works at Mari Mauza in Sahibganj, which is owned by CM's local representative Pankaj Mishra, Das said.
