Noida: After a lull of about two months, home-buyers of several group housing projects have once again started lodging complaint with New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (Noida) against builders. They complained that the builders have refsued to comply with order given by the authority on the directions of chief minister Adityanath Yogi.

The authority has prepared a tentative list of about 50 builders on which its going to recomend strict action as it has failed to comply with 'advise' of the government.

After the change of regime in the state, thousands of home-buyers had thought that the new Chief Minister of UP, Adityanath Yogi, given his impeccable record, would be able to do justice to them. He also met several delegations of home buyers and builders and directed officers of the authority to look into the issue and insure that buyers get possession of their homes at an early date.

Following the direction,  the authority had called tripartite meetings of buyers, developers and top officers to find a solution and hasten the completion of housing projects. It convened meetings with developers of 23 different group housing projects in the city.

Following the meetings, then Additional Chief Executive officer of the authority Shishir Singh had ordered respective developers to compile project completion reports within a stipulated period of 10 days. But the efforts taken for solving the problems of the buyers fell flat as many developers did not comply with the order and did not submit project completion report. Over 50 per cent of builders have not submitted the report.

BrijBhushanBani, who booked flat in Antriksh Golf View, a under construction residential society in Sector-78, said that he had apprised the officer that the builder has illegally been constructing flats on the ground floor which was earmarked for car parking. The officer too directed the builder to stop the construction but the works was in progress on the site.

He said that the builder was to clear the dues of the authority for land allotment but had not cleared due to which the occupancy and completion certificates of the project has been delayed.

Another buyer, Col P Chandra, who has a flat in Aditya Urban Casa, another residential complex, said that despite the authority telling the the builders to solve the issues of fire safety in the society, they have neglected it.

On contacting Santosh Kumar, officer on special duty with authority, said he has prepared a list of those builders who had not followed the order. He said that they will be served notice within a couple of days.
