New Delhi: Breaking the religious constraints, a Muslim youth resolved to renovate a centuries-old ‘lord hanuman’ temple in Ahmadabad of Gujarat.
Apart from defying the ill-wills of the ‘pseudo-secularists’, his true unique step is citing another example of ‘communal harmony’.
His creative efforts, especially when portions of the country are witnessing erratic communal clashes in the name of temples and mosques, would undoubtedly play a pivotal role in establishing brotherhood and owness among the citizens.
Meet, the 42 – year – old, MdMoinMenon, a builder by profession.
Years after an idea for renovation of the centuries-old Hanuman temple, in his locality, came in his mind, he talked to the priest. And, accordingly he executed his renovation plan.
Menon also pays utmost attention towards not violating the vedic code of conducts and basic ethics of a temple during entire activities. Located in the Hanuman Gali under Mirzapur area of Ahmedabad in Gujarat, dilapidated building of the Hanuman temple has got a fresh lease of life. Credit goes to Menon!
Such an initiative, by a muslim youth, that too, in a Muslim dominated area, really shows a different facet of the Indian society.
“As soon as the idea grew in my, I repeatedly thought about it for years and talked to the priest. Consequently, I narrated him my renovation plan. The priest however agreed and happily replied, ‘Hanuman Dada’ must have sent you to renovate the temple. Now you must start the work without worrying about anything”, the 42 – year – old Muslim youth said.
He says, “After witnessing years – long piousness and the beauties, now it was very disheartening to see the dilapidated building of the temple. As I have spent my childhood in and around the temple premises, I have seen many facets of the temple. Now after finding no one coming ahead, I personally decided to repair and renovate it”.
Being a builder and well acquainted with all technicalities, Menon personally monitors entire constructions including the fixing and installations of religious symbols or colorful tiles in the temple.
“In order to promote peace and tranquility across the nation, we must create owness and brotherhood”, Menon said in his post in Twitter.
