Arvind Kejriwal Meets Manohar Lal Khattar, Discusses Air Pollution

New Delhi: Haryana Chief Minister ManoharLal and Delhi Chief Minister ArvindKejriwal have agreed upon the need for action on many measures aimed at preventing recurrence of smog in the winters of 2018. 

In a meeting at Chandigarh on Wednesday, they discussed various reasons for air pollution including crop residue burning and vehicular pollution and resolved to put sustained efforts to tackle the problem.

In a joint statement, both the Chief Ministers said, the meeting was fruitful and both leaders shared deep concern on the heavy smog in the National Capital Region. Both leaders said that polluted air is a serious health risk and requires concrete and quick action on number of fronts. 

Earlier in the morning when MrKejriwal reached Chandigarh airport to meet Haryana CM, around 200 workers of Congress and ShiromaniAkali Dal staged protest against him. Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh yesterday refused to meet MrKejriwal.
