
New Delhi: Union Minister for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the first Pension Adalat and a pension app for Central Government employees in New Delhi on Wednesday. The Adalat aims to quick resolve long pending pension cases.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Singh hoped that the initiative will inspire state governments to take such measures for their employees. He said that the current government’s aim is to make lives of pensioners easy and rewarding. He also said that the government is using its long experience in opposition to do constructive work in every sector including pension.
Dr. Singh said, previously many obsolete rules created hurdles for the employees getting their work done but this government has removed around 1500 rules to ease the problems faced by the people.
On the occasion, the Minister handed over Anubhav Award 2017 to 16 employees from various departments for their exemplary service.
