Ahead of the assembly bypolls in Rajasthan, the BJP on Sunday released a 'black paper' against Congress, claiming unfulfilled promises and misgovernance by the state government.
Two assembly bypolls are scheduled to be conducted in Dhariawad and Vallabh Nagar constituencies in Rajasthan on October 30, with the poll result being declared on November 2..
Ahead of the upcoming bye-election, the BJP lashed out at the Congress at its party headquarter in Jaipur, accusing it of not fulfilling its promises.
"The BJP will give a clarion call against the Congress government in Rajasthan on the issues of unemployment, corruption, debt waiver of farmers. The BJP will give clarion call in the entire state on October 28 on these issues. The BJP will lay seige around Collector offices from 25 till 29 November", said Dr Satish Poonia, BJP state president.
"On December 15, the BJP will launch a massive agitation involving 2 lakh party workers on the completion of three years of Congress government in Rajasthan", Satish Poonia said.
When questioned about the BJP's prospects in the upcoming Assembly bypolls, the BJP state president expressed hope that the party will win in both the constituencies, despite conceding that the party was considered weak in Vallabhnagar constituency.
Taking potshots at the Ashok Gehlot Sachin Pilot tussle in the Congress, the BJP state president told India Today TV, "The Congress has been marred by infighting, which had taken its toll on governance in Rajasthan."
