Four held in Srinagar for lynching of DSP AyubPandith

New Delhi:The Jammu and Kashmir police have said that it had cracked the case of lynching of DSP Mohammed AyubPandith last month by arresting four people. 

Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Munir Ahmad Khan in Srinagar said that other accused have also been identified and will be arrested soon. 

The IG said, police have also recovered the belongings of the DSP such as the identity card and the pistol. He said the investigation was going in the right direction. He further added that the police have completed 60 per cent of the investigation and cracked the case.

AyubPandith was stripped and lynched by a mob outside Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta area of old Srinagar on the night of Shab-e-Qadar on 22nd June 22.
