Haryana CM announces health insurance for poor, paid for by govt

New Delhi: Haryana government will implement a health insurance scheme in the state to provide free health services to the poor. The state government will bear the cost of the premium.

Chief Minister ManoharLal said this after inaugurating a medical college and hospital at Mohri village in Kurukshetra district. He said the state government is establishing medical colleges in every district to meet the shortage of doctors in government hospitals.

Chief Minister also said that as many as 28 colleges will be established in the state over the next two years. He said private organisations have been invited to establish Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy colleges in the state.
