West Madhya Pradesh calm but tense after farmers’ riots

New Delhi:A days after incidents of stone pelting, arson and protest marches in Dewas, Ujjain, Sehore, Dhar, Badwani and other places, uneasy calm prevailed in the western parts of Madhya Pradesh.Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has once again appealed farmer to maintain peace. In a series of tweets, he said that the state government has always been ready for discussions.

Chouhan said the state government has decided to set up the Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Input Cost and Marketing Commission. This commission will decide the input cost of different crops and devise a formula to ensure justified prices for farmers. The state government will procure tuar and moong at support price from 10th of this month.
Mandsour administration has assured citizens that there is no need to panic and things will soon improve as adequate security forces have been deployed to tackle the situation.
