Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on Congress saying that the parliamentary elections after the 1984 riots saw a huge majority for the grand old party.

It was an emotionally charged atmosphere and in that storm, we were almost wiped out. However, we never lost hope. We worked on the ground and strengthened our organisation, PM Modi said.

PM Modi made the comments after inaugurating the newly constructed BJP Central Office (Ext.) in presence of BJP national president JP Nadda in the national capital.

After inauguration, BJP congratulated the BJP workers across the country for the expansion of the central office of the saffron party. “When I had come to inaugurate the office in 2018, I had said that the soul of this office is our worker,” PM Modi said.
Addressing the BJP leader and workers at the office, PM Modi said that across the length and breadth of India, the BJP is the only pan-India political party. Raking up the dynasty politics, he said, “among the family-run political parties, BJP is a political party which gives opportunities to the youth...we have the blessings of the women of India.”

Praising his party for its democratic values and giving full opportunity to women's empowerment, PM Modi said that BJP is the first such party, which has constitutionally arranged a post for women in the party system. "BJP is the first such party, which is constantly ready to give new opportunities to its workers," he added.
