Prabhas’ collaboration with director Prashanth Neel is one of deadly combinations in recent times. The film has been making a lot of noise at PAN India level. As the film’s first look featuring Prabhas in a killer look set the buzz in trade circuits, all eyes are now on who is going to romance Prabhas in this high-voltage action film.

On the occasion of Shruti Haasan’s 35th birthday, production house Hombale Films revealed that the actor has been roped in for its upcoming film Saalar.

“We’re ecstatic to have you onboard for #Salaar. Can’t wait to see you sizzle on the screen (sic),” tweeted Hombale Films tweeted on Thursday.

Prabhas also took to his Facebook page to wish his co-star. “Happiest Birthday Shruti Haasan! Looking forward to working with you on #Salaar,” wrote Prabhas. Salaar will mark the maiden collaboration between Prabhas and Shruti.

Prashanth is going to shoot Salaar entirely in Hyderabad. Given that Prashanth is very keen on casting, he felt that Shruti would be apt for the role. This is a big boost to Shruti who recently made a comeback into movies and scored a hit with Krack. Shruti is being paid an exorbitant remuneration for Salaar.

Meanwhile, versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in a pivotal role in Salaar. An official confirmation regarding the same is awaited. The high-budgeted PAN India film is being bankrolled by Hombale Films.
